Just Launched: A Personal Invitation to See the World From Above

Dear friends,
I’m deeply moved to share something close to my heart — the official release of my new photobook, Days to Live: An Aerial Perspective.
This is more than a collection of images. It’s a testament to survival, perspective, and the fragile miracle of being alive.
After facing end-stage heart failure, then surviving a heart transplant, I found myself seeing the world with new eyes. From above — high above — the landscapes whispered lessons about impermanence, resilience, and beauty that refuses to be broken. Each image in this book was taken with that awareness: that every moment matters, that life is fleeting and fierce and worth capturing.
These aerial photographs are not just about place. They are about presence. About feeling the pulse of the earth beneath the cloudline, and remembering what it means to be awake to your own story.
If you’ve ever wondered what it means to live with days truly numbered — and then be gifted more — this book is for you.
“The pictures are works of art that you can look at like a Rothko or a Pollock.
You get a feeling and an appreciation of how lucky we are to be here on this beautiful earth.”
— Phil Penman, renowned street photographer
This project is the first chapter in a broader movement — Days to Live — which now spans portraits, essays, and global collaborations. But this book, An Aerial Perspective, is where it all begins.
I’d be honoured if you picked up a copy, shared it, or even just sat with the images and let them speak to you.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
With gratitude and sky-bound wonder,
:: Rand
