Riders Of The Storm
Photo Essay, Hunter Valley, Travel, Leica Cameras, Aerial Photography, Open Door Helicopter, Vineyards
A beautiful morning in the picturesque parts of the Hunter Valley. I knew such tranquility was too good to last. I'd planned to fly over the area, but the storm cells were debating whether I'd get up or not. We took off and there was enough clear space so long as we dodged the cells and avoided the military no-fly zone, where the real storm was gathering over the mountains. I had a good flight even though the rain came in the open door towards the end. And then I was able to enjoy the storm from the ground amongst the vines. I love being so immersed in nature and feeling its raw power. How about you? What connects you to the energy around us?
