Stillness at the Edge

High above Forresters Beach, where the sky leans into the ocean and the horizon feels within reach, we gathered for something quietly profound.
It was a celebration — one of us had reached sixty, a milestone not just of years but of resilience, of grace, of learning to live with presence. Rather than loud fanfare, we chose to mark the moment in stillness, surrounded by friends and open sky. And at the centre of it all was Arjanna, guiding us through a deeply grounding yoga session beside an infinity pool that mirrored the vast blue beyond.
This portrait series captured the essence of Days to Live, a project that honours moments like these — when we pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters. It captures more than posture or movement. It holds space for breath, for gratitude, for connection — not only to each other, but to the earth beneath and the wild beauty surrounding us. Arjanna moved with a quiet power, her form reflecting the fluid strength of the ocean below, her focus drawing all of us into a shared silence that spoke louder than words.
There was something magical about the morning. The sun rose gently. The air carried the scent of salt and eucalyptus. Birds traced invisible patterns above us. And for a moment, time felt suspended — just long enough to remind us of what it means to be fully alive, fully aware.
These images are a tribute to that space, that circle of friendship, and the beautiful soul at its centre who reminded us: presence is the real gift. Movement is prayer. And aging, when embraced with joy and softness, is a kind of becoming.
